The LCD product consists of two extra-clear float glass panels, each 4 millimeters or more in thickness, bonded over their entire surface with EVA (Ethylene-Vinyl-Acetate) sheets containing an additional liquid crystal film. This is known as LPF or, in common use, LCD. Its standout feature is its ability to change state from opaque to transparent when an electric field is applied to the surface.
Another essential feature is the ability to function as a screen for rear projection of images from multimedia devices. This typical property is especially prominent in the OFF “opaque” state but can also be used, though with less image vibrancy, in the ON “transparent” state.
